Pro does not play CD (2 replies)

I bought Morphyre Pro but it does not record or even play CD.
I use Stereo Mix on my Windows 7 but no music.
When I start CD only Windows Media Player playing with Morphyre
Visualization that was installed before I bought your Pro.
How I could use your program?

Morphyre Warning Image flashes before custom videos/images display (3 replies)

Hello,

Everytime overlay_flat or overlay_thumper plays a custom image or video, the "Morphyre Warning Image" is displayed briefly for a second or so. The videos and images display correctly after the warning image disapears. The computer I'm using is a new macbook pro with 8GB RAM, i7 CPU, and SSD hard drive. OS is Win7x64.

Please let me know if you would like more information.

Hello,

Just wondering if the your_logo scene is for the website that allows custom logo's to be comiled? Is there an eta for the availability of this website or a beta version I could test?

Hi,

Two Questions:

Will there be Midi Control implementation in Morphyre Pro? It would be nice to be able to tweak values quickly on a big control surface.

Will there be a way for a user with one license to run multiple instances on one computer or will that be a problem? I often run multiple instances of R4 on a multi-card multi-head PC so I can have different but similar content on different screens. I've also (in the distant past when hardware limitations required it) used two pc's to run two different instances of R4 on two different screens. I was reading the license info and it looked like it would be a difficult to do this due to the protections you've had to implement. Just to be clear, I don't want to use one license for more than one show at a time, I just would like the freedom to run a lot of different outputs at one event. Is that something you've already made possible in Morphyre? i.e. multiple displays with independent scene selection?

Program opens and work but in autonomous regime. It does not respond music. But at the same time in WAP it respond well.
Why?

textures not showing (1 reply)

metaflow doesnt load skybox textures
the only backgrounds which seem to work on metaflow are the recursive backgrounds, and flat video backgrounds

also, biology doesnt reflect the background with fg_env_bg_solid in the xml ... its black and white unless a texture is specified for fgtexture


i would have liked to replace the skybox and basscube entries for these scenes in the templates.xml file with recurse and recursewarp, but templates only work with background textures and when i assign 'morphyreBg.png' to the foreground texture, i literally just get the morphyre logo being reflected

i notice that in 1.22, you have changed the camera for cubic tunnel to move abit like how i modified the cubic tunnel camera

what other changes are there? are there new colour schemes etc as well... the only thing i was expecting to have changed was the video looping

basically, it seems that sometimes the flow of time in Morphyre is sped up, and everything moves too fast ... this is most obvious in the 'tunnel' type scenes, but it can be observed in the 'morph' scenes as well... the strange thing is that it doesnt always happen, and i dont know if theres a pattern between it happening and not...

this only started happening with 1.22

Morphyre Pro and Linux (2 replies)

I know the hardware version of pro works on a Linux OS. Can the software version of Pro be installed in Ubuntu or another distro? Is there a different install process, or should I just install it in Wine?

I'm going to try it now through Wine, will post results.

:D I love this new software but I'd love it even more if I could:

Assign updated thumbnails to scenes in the Java UI (like R4)

Overlay Announcements that sit still on the screen when set to long durations (like R4)

See the tweaks pane in automatic mode at all times (like manual mode)

Be able to pause the time line in manual mode without switching back to automatic mode.

Be able to zoom in and out on the time line in manual mode instead of just scrolling up/down

Control video clip's speed and direction of play

Make every overlay fade in and out instead of cutting in and out

Have a button in the UI or assigned as a hot key that fades all to black (like R4)

Bind Hot Keys (like R4)

Be able to remove active overlays from the time line before they reach their end without them getting stuck on. (Right now, in manual mode, if you trash an overlay before the time line reaches the end of the overlay's icon, the overlay stays on and can't be removed.)

Access a sound preferences tweaking dialog (like R4)


I have more suggestions that I can't think of at the moment. I'll add them soon. Please let me know if any of this is already possible. I hope I haven't overlooked anything that's already been explained in documnetation.

Compiler not working (3 replies)

First off thanks for the wonderful visuals Gordon. I've been a huge fan of R4 and been using it at shows with live bands and the response has been great. I just upgraded to Morphyre and am trying out the tutorials. For some reason I can't get the compiler working. It's not just the tutorial pur3c file that doesn't work, I tried moving the bigfoot.pur3s to my desktop and recompiling it with the provided pur3s file in scenes and nothing shows up in bin.

Installation Issue - No images available in menue (8 replies)

I have purchased Pro and had it installed for the last week, the visulisations are great.

- The interface seems to work well with the exception of the image button in both manual and automatic mode. It remains blank with no icons or thumbnails of images or video clips added to the \custom folder in Morphyre Pro.

- In manual mode the application dosen't seem to save time lines, i have also checked in MorphyrePro\timelines to see if any file were created

I have followed the instructions on install and have the following ancilery apps as directed

windows 7 32
morphyre-pro_hd_textures_1v19
morphyre_pro_thumbnails_1v32
mplayer
ffdshow
haali

i am unfamilar with the compilation process and possibly have bungled mencoder of the mplayer installation.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated as im keen to get into the guts of the program and start playing with scenes creating my customisations.

Hi,

After a succesful installation I try to start Morphyre without UI and I receive the following error : "c:\program files\morphyrepro\R5.exe" This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Can you help me solve this error ?

When starting the Morphire UI I can get the application to run but I can only see and cotrol the UI but no visuals are displayed.
What can I do to get this solved ?

no vis screen after VJ GIG with projector configuration (7 replies)

This is an interesting situation, i sucessuflly use Morphyre for a gig this week with great sucess.

Now when opening Morphyre i only get the interface and no VIS screen.

when opening the screen selection menu there are no screens to select, as shown below......

ah the pic button is for links only....

needles to say the screen settings dialog has no screens to select, i can email you a screen shot if required.

Any help on this issue appreciated.

Videos not playing in v1.34 (10 replies)

Hi,

After upgrading to v1.34, none of the videos in the custom folder play when used in a scene or overlay. The AVI files in the custom folder show in list of videos in the UI, but I whenever I try and play one, it only shows a black window where the video should be.

I've tried reinstalling Morphyre to C:\MorphyrePro and also reinstalled the full KLite codec pack. The OS I'm using is Win7x64.

The Morphyre Console shows the following when I add an overlay video:
435549: Opening Video File (C:\etc)
435549: Connecting Video
435549: Connect done 32x32 3bpp
435549: Video Finished, Restarting
435549: Video Finished

Hi, I saw the information about using MPlayer and MEncoder to record a video of something you create in the Morphyre Pro timeline. My question is, how do you get the video to react to a song while recording it? Also, when you are working in the timeline, do you have to keep restarting a certain song using itunes or wmp to make it match up with where you want it to be on the timeline? So if I want a certain scene to match up with a certain part of a song, do I always have to manually try to sync them together?

A couple of ?'s about hotkeys (4 replies)

1. Is there a way to get hotkeys to work nice with the UI? i.e. If I assign a key in 010_main.js to an overlay like this:

I can then set and cancel the overlay if I start Morphyre without the UI. If I use the UI It will initiate the overlay, but will cancel it immediately. I have also tried uncommenting the lines:

    while (hasRenderScene(overlay_id))
      renderSceneRemove(overlay_id);
  }

in utils.js which will allow me to use the hotkeys while using the UI, but any overlays I access with the UI and haven't assigned to hotkey cannot be canceled.

Is there any way to get these to play nice together?

2. How can I get an overlay to do a smooth fadeout using a hotkey? Can I assign a setTweak to a hotkey, then in the overlay.pur3c file use getTweek and set up something similar to the way r4 does it?

Morphyre 3D models from 3DTin.com (1 reply)

So now Morphyre lets you easily add 3D models to its scenes, how do you create a 3D model?

Try 3DTin.com - it's a really fun, simple way of coming up with some interesting 3D shapes.
  • Go to 3DTin.com and log in.
  • Create a model, Save it, then click 'Export'.
  • Choose 'OBJ' and 'Save to Desktop'
  • Keep a note of the largest size in cm
  • Open the saved file (which will be a zip file) and extract the file with the '.obj' extension from it.
  • Open the Model Viewer, click on 'Load File' and select the '.obj' file
  • Use 'Tools->Scale' to shrink the model down, as it may well be too big for morphyre. A quick guess is to scale by 2 divided by the largest size in cm as most Morphye scenes expect the model to be around 1 unit in radius (so 2 units diagonally)
  • Use 'Tools->Decimate to Cost' and use the default value. 3DTin just outputs a triangle for each square, which will use loads of triangles on bigger models.
  • Save the model as 'Binary T2N3V3' and you're done
(Unfortunately no colour can be imported at the moment)
